Matteo Formis was driven by his father’s passion for the 80s hard rock to pick up an electric guitar for the first time at age eight. In his early teenage years, he spanned different genres as well as band formations as a guitarist getting noticed on online platforms after two podium-worth performances in worldwide competitions, receiving praises from American blues-metal artist Eric Steckel, and Robby Krieger, co-founder of the legendary band “The Doors''. At 15, Matteo dropped rock music for a solo interlude as a singer-songwriter. As an essentially self-taught singer and pianist, he started bringing snippets of composition from one venue to another and made his debut on regional television at only 17 years old. Driven by a long-lasting love for the guitaristic expression infused by his former mentor Paul Audia, internationally recognized blues-rock artist, Matteo started performing with trios as singer and guitarist again aged 18.
