Tijn Dekker developed an interest in music after seeing the band Europe perform at the age of ten years old. Picking up the acoustic guitar at the age of twelve, within a year he bought his first electric, and his natural attraction towards rhythm guitar parts and basslines quickly caused him to explore the world of the electric bass guitar. With just a few months of playing the bass having gone by, in 2019, Tijn passed his first audition and earned a part in the band for the annual school musical, from which he got his first experience in playing music together and being in a group.

 

As each of the musicians went afterwards their way, Tijn continued to explore his instrument, gathering knowledge and skills all on his own. Friends and family have all influenced him through the years, leaving him with a most diverse music taste, ranging from jazz fusion of the 70s and synthpop from the 80s to various forms of heavy metal. After playing and practicing alone in his room for three more years, Tijn was asked by a longtime friend to join a trio formation, featuring Matteo Formis on guitar and vocals. Teamed up, the three of them played several performances in the first half of 2023, ultimately, after a small line-up change, transforming into Moira towards the end of the year.
